Success Stories: From $650 to $6500 per month as a Project Manager

There is a popular song in Nigeria “Everything na Double Double” However at TCA we are rewriting the song to “Everything na “times 10 times 10”. Why you may ask…This is the story of Yemisi.

Before Yemisi moved to Canada in 2022, she worked as a customer service lead with a start-up in Nigeria where she earned $650 per month. In Nigeria, this is sufficient however, in Canada, it’s not even enough for rent every month.

She arrived in Canada heavily pregnant and gave birth 2 weeks after arrival and started her maternity leave. During her maternity leave, she decided to enrol into a college to study business analysis and project management. This was a struggle for her as the lecturers didn’t explain key concepts associated with the field well. Luckily she met someone in her class who told her about TCA and following her enquiry, she quickly signed up!

Yemisi thoroughly enjoyed the live training sessions. She learnt a lot from TCA to the extent that she started to teach some of her colleagues at the College.

She overcame her imposter syndrome by thoroughly preparing for interviews recording herself and listening to the playback to identify areas for improvement

For this particular job that she secured, she was given a case study exercise at the final stage of the interview and got stuck. She reached out for help and TCA demystified the case study exercise for her which enabled her to prepare the presentation and complete the interview successfully. This led to a fantastic offer where she now earns $6500 per month from $650 per month.

Yemisi completed the live project in November 2023 and secured a fantastic PM job less than a month after completing the program. What God cannot do through TCA does not exist!

Her advice to aspiring tech professionals: Be confident during interviews, and trust what you have learnt from TCA, they are the best and are willing to help you.
