TCA Success Stories: First Interview, First Job Offer – Nancy’s Success Story

Imagine this: You just finished an excellent training course to become a Business Analyst. You're getting ready to look for jobs. You get the first interview and prepare to use this as a learning experience for future interviews, but then—bam! —you get a fantastic job offer from your First Ever Interview! How, I hear you ask? Let me tell you about Nancy's jaw-dropping story.

Nancy has been an ardent follower of TCA since 2021. She really wanted to become a Business Analyst but didn't know how to start or how to leverage her previous experiences and academic qualifications.

She had a Finance and Information Technology degree, worked as an Accountant performing routine accounting activities and supporting IT projects. Nancy desperately needed a job that would help her relocate back to the UK to join her hubby. Nancy was sure of one thing…TCA’s ability to handhold her through the process and help her achieve success.

So, in December 2023, when she was ready, Nancy reached out and signed up for the Business Analysis coaching program, which would start in January 2024.

The level of dedication demonstrated by Nancy was one of a kind. Despite the time difference, Nancy always attended the classes regardless of what time she needed to wake up or how she needed to plan herself to make this happen. This is where some people miss their breakthroughs—they give excuses. Unfortunately, these excuses are seemingly valid but not enough for someone determined to break through, change their story, and ultimately transform their lives and their generation/family like Nancy.

Nancy was ALL-IN.

As the program neared its end, Nancy began applying for jobs, but not too aggressively. After two silent weeks, she got anxious and talked to her mentor. Her mentor encouraged her to keep going, explaining that sometimes, not hearing back quickly was normal.

Taking this advice, Nancy continued her applications. Again, this is another point where some people may give up on the verge of their breakthrough. Consistency is the name of the game. With consistency, you improve every single day…so for those at this point in their transition journey, please don’t give up! You are closer than you think.

Then, two weeks before the program ended, she got her first call for a position. Surprisingly, the questions were more straightforward than she anticipated. Instead of tricky questions, which she spent all night preparing for, the interview felt like a friendly chat. Thanks to TCA's intensive prep materials, Nancy was ready.

A few hours after that first interview, they asked her back for the second-round interview.

During the second round, they asked about her finance and business analysis skills. Nancy leveraged the knowledge she gained from TCA to explain how her previous experience was relevant to the position. She used the Business Analysis Language and the correct terminologies. And it worked like Magic! She has done it! Nancy got the job!

Exactly Two weeks after completing her Business Analysis program, Nancy received her offer letter for a Finance Business Analyst position with incredible benefits and a mouth-watering salary.
